This is an awesome product. I have used the british army bivy for years - but the Dutch army bivy surpasses it in quality. I'm a bit confused but glad that the length is 2.5 metre but since I'm 199 cm myself - it fits me great. The product information on the website said 220 cm - so I'm not going to complain. The word massive comes to mind with room for my backpack and I noticed that it's made to accommodate a sleeping pad into some small "pockets" on the underside. This was a great buy.
Thanks to SPJ Equipment I now have a great bivy

Thank you so much for the detailed review! We're really happy to hear that you're impressed with the Dutch Army Bivy and that it fits you so well, especially at 199 cm tall.

No good. The sewing for the Mosquito net is done through the pole stick tunnel, så its not possible to mount the pole. Area near the zippers is sealed with damaged tape coursing 5 cm opening in textiles. No plugs were included. The pole is not straight.

Dear Tomas,
Thank you for your feedback.
We're sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the item you received.
We would like to clarify that the poles supplied with this bivy bag are brand new and are intentionally slightly curved. This is normal and is part of the design, allowing the bivy bag to be pitched correctly.
The bivy bags themselves are genuine military surplus items in good, serviceable condition. As stated in the product description, they are used items and may show signs of previous use. Tent pegs are not included with this product.
Regarding the sewing and the issue you described with the pole sleeve, we take such reports seriously. We have already asked you to send us some photos so we can inspect the item and determine whether there is an actual defect. If there is a genuine fault, we will of course work with you to find a suitable solution.
We hope to receive the requested photos soon so we can resolve this matter for you.

Bivvy bag is in great condition no damage at all., Carinthia label inside, mosquito net fine. Both zips run freely. Poles all good, came with a Fecsa storage pouch, again in very good condition.
Spent 2 nights in it so far, all good, no condensation at all. Will have to wait for less pleasant weather to test it properly but pretty sure it will be fine.
Really happy with purchase, thanks.

At first I was not sure, if it was realy a carinthia bivy because the company batch was missing. But the goretex batch and the printings inside proof the origin.
The condition of the bivy s tissue and the moskitonet is very good, no scratches, holes or dirty spots. The zippers are exzellent, only the smell, possibly due to storage conditions, needed fresh air for a while. Price is better than those of many other sellers.

Thank you for your detailed review! We're very pleased to hear that you were happy with the overall condition of the bivy and that the Gore-Tex label and internal markings confirmed its authenticity for you.
We're glad that the fabric, mosquito net and zippers were all in such good condition. Regarding the smell, this can sometimes occur due to long-term storage, so we're pleased to hear that airing it out helped.
We also really appreciate your feedback on our pricing. Thank you for choosing SPJ Equipment and for taking the time to share your experience!
Best regards,
